ThaiCast is committed to creating a safe, transparent, and professional casting environment for actors, models, performers, and production professionals. This policy outlines the standards required for all casting activity on the ThaiCast platform.
Commitment to Safe Casting
ThaiCast aims to eliminate fraudulent casting calls and protect talent from exploitation. All users agree to uphold the following principles:
- Transparency in casting opportunities
- Respectful communication
- Professional working standards
- Lawful hiring practices
ThaiCast reserves the right to remove users or casting calls that violate this policy.
Verified Production Program
ThaiCast offers a Verified Production Badge to productions that complete identity verification.
Verification may include:
- Government-issued identification
- Production company registration
- Website or portfolio verification
- Contact information confirmation
Verified productions receive a Verified Casting badge on their listings. Verification confirms identity but does not guarantee production quality or outcomes.
Prohibited Casting Practices
The following activities are strictly prohibited on ThaiCast:
Fraudulent Casting Calls
Casting calls for projects that do not exist or intentionally mislead applicants.
Upfront Fees
Producers may not require talent to pay fees for auditions, representation, or casting consideration.
Exploitative or Illegal Work
Casting calls involving illegal activity, unsafe working conditions, or exploitative practices.
Misrepresentation
Posting casting calls under false identities or claiming association with productions without authorization.
Harassment or Coercion
Any behavior that pressures or intimidates talent.
Accounts engaging in these practices will be permanently removed.
Payment Transparency
Casting calls must clearly state:
- Whether the role is paid, unpaid, or deferred
- Estimated compensation range
- Production type (student film, independent project, commercial production, etc.)
Producers are responsible for honoring stated compensation agreements.
Talent Safety Guidelines
ThaiCast encourages talent to take basic precautions when responding to casting opportunities.
Talent should:
- Avoid sharing sensitive personal information
- Verify production details before attending auditions
- Meet in professional or public locations when possible
- Inform a trusted person about audition details
ThaiCast recommends reporting any suspicious activity immediately.
Reporting Suspicious Activity
Users may report suspicious casting calls or behavior through:
- The in-platform reporting tool
- Email to safety@thaicast.io
Reports may include:
- Fraudulent listings
- Harassment
- Misrepresentation
- Requests for money
ThaiCast will review reports and may remove accounts that violate platform policies.
Platform Moderation
ThaiCast reserves the right to:
- Review casting calls before publication
- Remove suspicious listings
- Suspend accounts pending investigation
- Permanently ban fraudulent users
ThaiCast may also cooperate with relevant authorities in cases of fraud or illegal activity.
Community Responsibility
Creating a safe casting ecosystem requires cooperation from the entire community. All users are expected to:
- Act professionally
- Respect fellow creatives
- Report unsafe behavior
