Safe Casting Policy

Effective Date: March 16, 2026

ThaiCast is committed to creating a safe, transparent, and professional casting environment for actors, models, performers, and production professionals. This policy outlines the standards required for all casting activity on the ThaiCast platform.

  1. Commitment to Safe Casting

ThaiCast aims to eliminate fraudulent casting calls and protect talent from exploitation. All users agree to uphold the following principles:

    • Transparency in casting opportunities
    • Respectful communication
    • Professional working standards
    • Lawful hiring practices

ThaiCast reserves the right to remove users or casting calls that violate this policy.

  2. Verified Production Program

ThaiCast offers a Verified Production Badge to productions that complete identity verification.

    Verification may include:

    • Government-issued identification
    • Production company registration
    • Website or portfolio verification
    • Contact information confirmation

Verified productions receive a Verified Casting badge on their listings. Verification confirms identity but does not guarantee production quality or outcomes.

  3. Prohibited Casting Practices

The following activities are strictly prohibited on ThaiCast:

    Fraudulent Casting Calls

Casting calls for projects that do not exist or intentionally mislead applicants.

    Upfront Fees

Producers may not require talent to pay fees for auditions, representation, or casting consideration.

    Exploitative or Illegal Work

Casting calls involving illegal activity, unsafe working conditions, or exploitative practices.

    Misrepresentation

Posting casting calls under false identities or claiming association with productions without authorization.

    Harassment or Coercion

Any behavior that pressures or intimidates talent.

Accounts engaging in these practices will be permanently removed.

  4. Payment Transparency

    Casting calls must clearly state:

    • Whether the role is paid, unpaid, or deferred
    • Estimated compensation range
    • Production type (student film, independent project, commercial production, etc.)

Producers are responsible for honoring stated compensation agreements.

  5. Talent Safety Guidelines

ThaiCast encourages talent to take basic precautions when responding to casting opportunities.

    Talent should:

    • Avoid sharing sensitive personal information
    • Verify production details before attending auditions
    • Meet in professional or public locations when possible
    • Inform a trusted person about audition details

ThaiCast recommends reporting any suspicious activity immediately.

  6. Reporting Suspicious Activity
